Covenant Kids Run

Congratulations
HPE Run Club!
for coming in 1st place for the most participation. HPE will receive $625 to use toward more equipment for our PE classes! Way to Go HPE Run Club!!! Highland Park Run Club
met twice a week to walk in preparations of Saturday's Covenant Kids Run.  Each week we had approximately 65 students walking their way to 25.2 miles.  For that last mile, we met in Knoxville for the Covenant Kids Run where we walked/ran into Neyland Stadium to receive a medal.  The kids did awesome and had lots of fun learning to be fit!

Kindergarten Age Requirements

New Kindergarten Age Requirements
For the 2013 – 2014 school year, Tennessee children must be 5 years old by August 31st instead of September 30th to start school. In 2014 – 2015, the requirements will permanently change putting the cutoff date as August 15th. If a student is currently in PreK during the 2012-2013 school year, they are grandfathered into Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year. They cannot stay in PreK unless they meet the original age requirement
